An insulation package for the mechanical installation
Plant rooms bring different systems together, often in a confined space. Our work can include industrial pipework insulation, insulation to vessels and associated equipment, aluminium cladding and removable valve jackets.
The insulation material and finish need to suit each service and its operating conditions. Heating systems require control of unwanted heat loss; chilled water systems require attention to heat gain, condensation and vapour-barrier continuity. We work to the agreed specification for the installation.
New plant rooms and mechanical upgrades
We work with mechanical contractors on new installations and refurbishment projects. The insulation package is planned around the mechanical programme, available access and the readiness of each part of the system. Tell us about testing requirements, access restrictions and other trades working in the same space when discussing the programme.

Keep valves and equipment accessible
Insulating a plant room should also consider the people who will maintain it. Removable covers can insulate suitable valves, flanges and pumps without permanently enclosing components that need access. Cover dimensions and removal space are considered alongside nearby pipework and controls.
Restore missing or deteriorated insulation
In existing plant rooms, insulation is sometimes damaged, removed for maintenance or left incomplete around fittings. Lagforce can review the visible condition of the installation and identify practical improvements, such as replacing missing sections, renewing damaged cladding and adding suitable removable covers.
We can agree targeted insulation repairs and upgrades rather than assuming the whole installation needs replacement. The scope depends on the condition of the existing materials, access and the requirements of the facility.
What to send with a plant room enquiry
Email your site location, an overview of the systems and photographs of the areas needing work. Drawings, specifications, approximate quantities and a proposed programme are helpful for new installations. For an existing plant room, include close-up and wider photographs so we can understand both the damaged areas and the available access.
