Lagforce supplies and installs removable valve and vessel jackets and insulation covers for industrial and commercial heating and process systems throughout Ireland. These covers help reduce heat loss from valves, flanges, vessels and equipment that need regular access for maintenance.
Valve jackets and removable covers in use
Cover the gaps left around valves and fittings
A system can have well-insulated pipework but still lose heat through uncovered components. Large valves, flanges, circulation pumps and other fittings are often left exposed so that they remain accessible. A removable cover provides insulation that can be taken off for inspection and refitted afterwards.
We supply covers suited to the equipment, operating conditions and access requirements. Applications include heating headers, plant room valves, pumps and associated equipment. The appropriate cover design and materials depend on temperature, the component shape and whether the installation is indoors or outdoors.
Designed around maintenance access
The cover needs to fit the component while accommodating the parts that must remain accessible. Before supply, we consider dimensions, nearby pipework, controls, actuators and the space available for removal. This is particularly important on large valves and crowded plant room installations.
Removable covers give maintenance teams access to valves, flanges and pumps without cutting away fixed insulation. Once servicing is finished, the covers can be refitted. Check their condition after removal and replace damaged covers where needed.
New installations and insulation upgrades
Valve jackets can form part of a new pipework insulation package or be added to an existing system. We can review exposed fittings alongside missing insulation and damaged cladding to agree a practical programme of repairs and upgrades.
Our plant room insulation service brings together pipework insulation, protective cladding and removable covers for the mechanical installation.
What we need to understand your project
Email photographs of the equipment and surrounding space, the site location, approximate quantities and available valve or equipment dimensions. Include operating temperatures or a specification where available. For an existing cover that needs replacing, a photograph and measurements help establish what is required.
Valve cover questions
Can covers be fitted to existing valves?
Yes. Removable covers can be added to suitable existing installations after the dimensions, operating conditions and access needs have been established.
Can the jackets be removed for servicing?
Yes. That is their main practical advantage. They can be removed for access and refitted when maintenance is complete.
Are valve jackets suitable outdoors?
Outdoor exposure needs to be considered when selecting the cover construction and finish. Tell us where the equipment is installed so the proposal can address those conditions.
