Hot and cold process services

Lagforce installs insulation on industrial pipework, plant-room services and vessels throughout Ireland. The specification depends on the service temperature and operating conditions. On cold services, continuity of the insulation and vapour control are important considerations around bends, fittings and supports.

Cladding suited to the production environment

Stainless steel cladding may be specified where a durable, cleanable finish is needed. Aluminium cladding can be appropriate for other plant and external services, depending on the specification. We discuss finishes and access with the mechanical contractor or facility team.

Maintenance and replacement

Missing insulation, damaged cladding and fittings left exposed after servicing can form part of a repair scope. Removable valve and flange covers provide access where the specified arrangement allows. Send photographs and details of any shutdown window when enquiring about existing installations.

Vessel and tank insulation · Repairs and upgrades

Typical food and drink scope

  • Hot water, steam and CIP (clean-in-place) pipework
  • Glycol and chilled-water cooling lines
  • Brewhouse and distillery process pipework
  • Vessels, tanks and hot water storage
  • Plant rooms and utility services

Materials and finishes

Production areas need finishes that stand up to washdown and cleaning. Stainless steel cladding is often specified in these areas, with aluminium used on utilities, plant rooms and external services. Cold services need a continuous vapour seal to stop condensation and mould forming under the insulation.
