This policy explains how Lagforce Ltd. collects and uses personal data when you visit lagforce.ie or contact us. We keep the information we collect to a minimum and only use it to respond to enquiries, run our business and understand how our website is used.

What we collect and why

Enquiries by contact form, email or phone

When you send us an enquiry, we receive the details you choose to give us, such as your name, company, email address, phone number, site location and the content of your message, including any drawings or specifications. We use this to reply to you, prepare quotations and carry out work. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

Contact form submissions may be checked by an automated spam filter (Akismet, provided by Automattic) to protect us from spam. This involves sending the submission and your IP address to that service for checking.

Website analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to understand how visitors find and use our website, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors arrived. Analytics only runs if you accept statistics cookies in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Server logs and security

Like most websites, our hosting server automatically records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the website secure and working properly, which is our legitimate interest.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers who help us run our business, under appropriate agreements, including our website host (Hosting Ireland), our email provider, Google (analytics, where you have consented) and Automattic (spam filtering). We may also share information with our accountants, insurers or legal advisers where needed, or where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, it is protected by recognised safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep data

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years so we can follow up on related enquiries, and then deleted. Where we carry out work for you, related records are kept for as long as required for accounting, tax, insurance and legal purposes (generally six years after the work is completed). Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. To use any of these rights, email info@lagforce.ie. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie), though we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
