Plant rooms, risers and distribution pipework

Lagforce installs insulation on heating and chilled-water services, plant-room pipework and associated fittings. Work can extend through risers, service areas and overhead pipework. The insulation system should suit the temperatures, condensation risk and project specification.

Ventilation and external HVAC services

Ductwork insulation and protective metal cladding form part of our service offering. External services require a finish suited to weather exposure, with attention to joints and penetrations. We coordinate the insulation scope with the mechanical contractor.

Existing buildings and maintenance

Replacement insulation and renewed cladding can be planned around access restrictions and occupied buildings. Send photographs, drawings and details of the affected services, including areas that need regular maintenance access.

Typical building services scope

  • Heating (LTHW) and domestic hot water distribution pipework
  • Chilled water and cold water services, with vapour-sealed finishes to control condensation
  • Supply, extract and fresh-air ductwork, internal and on the roof
  • Plant rooms, risers and car park services
  • Removable jackets on valves, strainers and pump sets

Materials and finishes

Most building services work uses foil-faced fibreglass, phenolic or nitrile rubber insulation, chosen by service temperature and the project specification. Exposed and external runs are finished in aluminium or PVC to protect the insulation. We work in sequence with the mechanical contractor so services are insulated and inspected before ceilings and risers are closed.
